Reliance Industries Limited and Banaras Hindu University have clarified that news of Nita Ambani joining the university as a visiting faculty, is false. According to fact-checker Boomlive, the Dean of the university's Social Science department did confirm sending an invite to Nita Ambani but later refused to share further details.

"The statement in Hindi said, "No official decision has been taken by the University Administration nor any such administrative order has been given to appoint Mrs. Nita Ambani as a visiting professor in any Faculty Department Center of the University or to give any responsibility of teaching ...
